About EFI

The Epidemiology Foundation of India is a scientific body consisting of epidemiologists, medical teachers, bio-statisticians, researchers, and scientists from other related disciplines registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. The Foundation provides a common platform to those practicing epidemiology and interact and benefit mutually towards sharing the development and applications of statistical techniques. There are over 1000 life members of EFI spread all over India and abroad contributing towards development of epidemiology in the country.

About Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a holy city on the banks of the River Ganges and is located in the foothills of the Himalayas at a distance of 26 km from Haridwar, 42 km from Dehradun, 74 km from Mussoorie, 201 km from Chandigarh and 233 km from Delhi, It is one of the top pilgrimage sites in India and is also base for several trekking trails in Uttarakhand state. Rishikesh is the gateway to the upper Garhwal region and the starting point for the Char Dham pilgrimage (Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath). Rishikesh attracts huge number of tourists and pilgrims from all parts of the country to offer their prayers at this holy site. Rishikesh has several famous ashrams and temples. Triveni Ghat, Neel Kanth Mahadev Temple, Swarganiwas Temple and Bharat Mandir are the important pilgrimage sites in Rishikesh.

About AIIMS Rishikesh

All India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the object to develop medical workforce to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education and sophisticated health care at an affordable cost in India. The Institute is developing as not only an excellent ‘Centre of Learning’ but is also establishing itself for the delivery of quality healthcare services. The institute has already conducted various conferences and workshops for Faculty, Residents, PG/UG Students and other interested Researchers.

Pre-conference workshop

A Pre-conference workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance is going to be held on 10th April, 2020.This is specifically aimed for Medical and Nursing Officers and Paramedical Technical Colleagues. The delegates interested to attend the pre-conference workshop will have to mention the name in the registration form and pay additional registration fee.
